Änna Ciaccio is a new-school artist, with an old-school vibe. Born in Canton, a small farming community in Central Pennsylvania, her mom, Jill Ciaccio recalls that, "she has been singing since before she could talk, and performing since before she could walk."  Änna grew up in a very talented family of musicians: her father, Alfonse Ciaccio, a guitarist; her elder brother, Joel Ciaccio, a bassist; and her younger sister, Lara Ciaccio, a violinist, listening to everything from the Beatles, to Boston, to the blues.  However, her first love was always jazz.  Frequently performing with her father, she had a successful high                                                school career in musical, academic, and extra-curricular activities.

After graduation, Änna decided to proceed with a Bachelor's of Music In Vocal Performance at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she has had the privilege of working with such wonderful musicians as: Joe Negri, Maureen Budway, Sean Jones, and Michael Tomaro. She has been regularly gigging around the area, and is anticipating graduation in May, 2010.
